CSA 15 Beets and Sweets

CSA 15; pick up Wed 9/20, 1-6PM, and Sat 9/23, 9AM-2PM.


ON THE TABLE IN FARM SHOP… New – Beets (with lovely greens!), Sweet potatoes, Broccoli, Radish; Greens – Lettuce mix, Kale (new, red russian AND curly types – both tender and nutritious!), Chard, Arugula; Cooking essentials – Onions (yellow/red), Garlic, Leeks; Roots – Potatoes (golds), Carrots, Turnip (also good raw in salads); Summer’s best yet to give it up – Eggplant, Peppers (green/red/yellow bells, and Hots), Cucumbers, Zucchini; AND Winter squash – new, Celebration and Butternut, Buttercup. Mix and Match options.  



  • Flowers – Zinnia and others; try your hand at drying with Gomphrena.
  • Herbs – Dill/Cilantro.  Also Thyme, great for savory fall dishes. Chives too.


  • Fresh Baked Breads and Provisions – Hammerbacher;
  • Cheeses, Fulper Farms – Mozzarella, Cheddar (mild/creamy), aged Gouda, Feta;
  • Eggs – Cycle Farms;
  • Pasta, homemade, Red Room Café – Rigatoni, Gnocchi, Spaghetti, Ravioli (sorry, we did not get our order in on time for last week);
  • Chicken Sausages – Griggstown Farms;  
  • Apples, Nichols Orchard - cortland, gala, golden delicious, fuji, macintosh.

Support Local Artisans! On consignment through the fall – salt/pepper shakers, bowls, vases and more. Makes a great gift or treat yourself. I bought coffee mugs and I love them!
